They communicated with me during the whole process via email and calling in to check on the progress of the clean up. The SafeCo Claim Rep was wonderful. We got a check in our hands in days of the damage. She explained the whole process to us and made a bad situation into a positive one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Claim Experience Ever Our home was hit by lightning and started a small fire. Safeco was not responsive at all. The first adjuster showed up a week after the fire and was incompetent. He didn't bid the major areas of damage and it wasn't submitted in a timely manner. After the contractor sent another bid in they sent the 2nd adjuster two months after the fire. Because of this our home had holes in it and fire damage for 4 months.

They were quick to return calls, all customer service agents were in America, and offered all the help i needed on the call. Everyone called when they said they would, and paid when they said they would. I was impressed.

In the unfortunate circumstance that you are involved in a car accident and need your claims adjuster to update you with status of your claim within a reasonable timeframe like 48 hours, not this company! Just take your business somewhere else!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional support in the midst of a disaster You never really know your insurance company until you need them. I know mine now and I am glad I have them. I recently lost a water heater which failed then leaked for more than a day. It filled almost an entire finished basement with three inches of water. When I contacted the Safeco agent she did a superb job leading me through proper cleanup procedures and the claims process. They have been very generous in their repair settlement and fair and flexible in the property replacement part of the process.

My process was wonderful. The timeliness of the adjustment and settlement was outstanding. I would highly recommend Safeco to my friends and family!

We had just moved to another state and obtained Safeco insurance and within weeks of our big move we had a car accident that totalled our recently purchased car. An experience that could have been terrible was worked through so efficiently and swiftly that we are already in our replacement vehicle and moving along within short weeks of the accident. Everything involved in this process was smoothly handled and we felt cared for by this company. We totally recommend Safeco to anyone seeking really good car insurance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken Water Line The true test of an insurance company is not their ability to issue quotes and collect premiums, but how they treat customers once a claim is filed. I came home to plaster falling off the ceiling and destroyed hardwood floors, due to a broken water line on the 2nd floor. I had a difficult time finding contractors that could repair the damage to an 1880's home, but once I received the quotes I called Safeco to file a claim, and spoke with the adjuster that evening. He was able to inspect the damage 3 days later. The adjuster was able to issue a check that same day, allowing me to hire the contractor to complete the repairs quickly. Safeco exceed my expectations in customer service and timeliness, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I recently filed a claim due to theft of personal property and was astounded at the incredibly high level of service I received! I work in the insurance industry and could not have expected more professional, thorough or efficient processing of my claim. From the moment I opened my claim I was given detailed instructions as to the process and next steps. Those next steps were executed promptly and exactly as described with timely updates and communication throughout.

They set me up with a nearby P.A.C.E auto repair shop for the estimate & allowed me to choose my own body shop to complete the work. Having a single contact person to answer questions has been so convenient. I will definitely recommend SafeCo Insurance to everyone!

When the actual work was going to be more than estimated, the inspector was already on her way to body shop and called me shortly thereafter to explain the additional work. They made arrangements with the rental car company for additional time needed. Safe I truly made a bad situation better with their exceptional service. Would highly recommend them!
