Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed Started off well, but ended with disappointing overall service. I purchased a new vehicle and inquired about an umbrella policy. The agent was very helpful and advised I would need to increase my liability on my auto policy, which I did. She then indicated she would send a notice to have an agent contact me about the umbrella policy. The agent contacted me a few days after and then advised he could not help me since I was in California, but that another agent could do this with Safeco. Odd that since my vehicle and home (both insured with Safeco) are listed in California that he 1) would not know this before calling me and 2) why would the request go to him to respond on the umbrella if he could not book the policy. A few days after, I received a letter saying I do not qualify for the umbrella policy, which is very odd since I have been with Safeco for approximately 7 years. When I called to make a change to my auto policy I asked if they knew the reason for the decline, and she was not aware. I spoke with the home policy agent and she did not now either. She said she would reach out to the underwriters to find out, since per her review it showed I was qualified. I still have not received a call back to date. Even though I've been with Safeco for a number of years, I think now is the time to look for other insurance that actually wants my business and is responsive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still messed up! I have probably gotten six different online doc you sign requests for my umbrella policy, and everyone of them is incorrect! It keep showing three automobiles and one recreational vehicle, where it should be two automobiles and one recreational vehicle. This makes the pricing show as too high, so I still don't know what I really have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alaska USA I went into their office 4 times to get a policy and gave them my information and they never came back to me. I called your office and your own person wrote it for me. The person that wrights my auto insurance has been a great help.
