Safety saves
Boat owners may also receive credits of up to 15% on their boat insurance policy for completing a boating safety course. Find a class through the Coast Guard Auxiliary or U.S. Power Squadron. Or, you could save up to 5% for a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA)-approved state administered course. Some states require young boaters (usually age 16 or younger) to complete an approved safety course before operating a boat. -
Insure multiple policies with Safeco
The more policies you have with a company, whether it’s for your cars, boat or home, the more substantial savings you may get. Talk to your agent about consolidating your insurance with Safeco. -
Increase your deductible
By raising the amount you pay out-of-pocket for losses, you can save more on your boat policy. Ask your agent to explain the trade-offs.
