Safeco Surety Bond Programs

First National Surety, one of the Safeco companies, specializes in meeting the needs of the small to medium-size contractor, from those just starting or with infrequent bond needs, to those with an established track record. Most of our clients have single bond needs of $6 million or less with an aggregate backlog up to $8 million. First National Surety has a separate staff, with local, direct underwriting authority, experienced in handling the special needs of the smaller contractor. With First National as your partner, you can be confident that as you grow and your needs change, we can grow with you. As our clients grow, many, who meet the qualifications, will "graduate" from First National Surety to Safeco Contract Surety.

Safeco Contract Surety is designed to meet the diverse bonding needs of the medium to large contractor with an established track record. We have the experience and the capacity to handle larger contractors of virtually any size with a separate staff trained to handle the complex and changing issues faced by the larger contractor.

They are supported by in-house technical specialists—CPAs, engineers, attorneys, and systems experts—who are available as resources whenever needed. Our professional claims representatives help you by preventing problems and resolving those that do arise.
