For Our Employees
When we recruit employees, we’re looking for diversity of talent. We want employees who can add a new angle to our business, and who value the opinions of a wide range of people. This commitment to getting the unique perspective is just one of the things that makes us competitive in the marketplace.
Focus on Diversity
We also work to build our employees’ understanding of diversity. For over 15 years, we’ve offered diversity education programs that broaden our employees’ horizons and help ensure an inviting and inclusive working environment.
To add to that, we organize focus groups on diversity. These consist of employees who provide recommendations on what we can do to better support our diversity programs.
Education Programs
Here’s a sampling of the diversity workshops we’ve offered employees:
- The Color of Fear—an open discussion about racism, and advice on how to build accepting relationships
- Civil Treatment—provides tools that help create a culture that is respectful, fair, and welcoming
- GenderSpeak—builds communication skills and helps create an inclusive working environment
- Valuing Diversity—explores why honoring diversity should be a core employee competency, and how diversity positively affects the workplace
- Cultural Diversity: Acquiring a Global Mindset—illustrates how success in today’s marketplace requires working on a global level, with an acceptance of cultures from around the world
Summer Internship Program
Our Summer Internship Program provides paid internships to college students. It introduces students to new opportunities and increases the diversity of our workforce.
To ensure that we attract a broad group of students, we work with a variety of recruiting resources, including:
- INROADS
- Accounting Career Awareness Program
- Technical Access Foundation
- ACCESS
- University campus recruiting
- University student associations
Campus Recruiting
Our Campus Recruiting program began in 1987. The goal of this program is to recruit qualified university and college students who truly represent the diversity of our communities. To do this, we work with university and college recruiting centers and participate in diversity-focused career fairs.
