At Safeco, volunteerism is a company value and way of life for many employees. Safeco’s award-winning volunteer program promotes and supports employee volunteerism in multiple ways.

Safeco Cares Day of Caring

Safeco employees across the country volunteer their time and services during the annual Safeco Cares Day of Caring. Held in conjunction with Safeco's workplace Employee Giving Campaign, the Day of Caring provides an opportunity for employees to give back to their communities through participation in local projects, from painting and yard work to food and clothing drives.

Safeco Cares Committees

Fourteen employee-run Safeco Cares Committees operate out of Safeco offices nationwide, developing volunteer projects for groups of employees that benefit local nonprofit organizations.

Time-Off for Volunteering

Safeco employees can take paid time-off during the work day to volunteer. The employee and their manager work together to agree on the amount of time based on business needs.
