Seattle, Wash. (July 17, 2012) — Safeco Insurance’s Do More.™ television ad series took top honors at the annual award ceremony of the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA) last month in Denver.
The IMCA Showcase Awards recognize the most effective, innovative marketing and communications work in the insurance industry. Out of more than 300 entries from 66 insurance companies, Safeco’s TV ads won the top award of the night – the SAMMY award - for best overall work for all categories, and they captured the Best of Show Award for the TV Spot/Campaign category.
“This is a big win for both agents and Safeco,” says Jim Havens, Safeco senior vice president for marketing. “Our advertising campaign is just one of the ways we help agents sell Safeco to customers and we’re proud to be recognized for our work in this area."
Safeco’s TV ads – called “wedding,” “early bird special” and “kitchen” – are part of the company’s Do More.™ advertising campaign, which includes radio, billboards and web advertising.
