Safeco Insurance™ responds to St. Louis tornadoes

St. Louis, Mo. – (April 24, 2011) – As a result of devastating tornadoes in the St. Louis metro area, Safeco Insurance has mobilized its National Catastrophe Team to the area.

“In partnership with local independent agents, the Safeco team has been on the scene to help our customers as soon as possible,” said Glenn Shapiro, senior vice president, Safeco Claims.

Safeco customers with storm damage should report their claims to (800) 332-3226.

Safeco will triage claims and prioritize contact and inspections to serve customers with the most severe damage first.

“We will continually assess customer needs and dispatch additional staff as necessary,” said Shapiro. “Other members of our team from across the country are helping to manage the behind-the-scenes operations. All are committed to providing exceptional claims service and caring for our customers when they need us most.”
