Safeco® Insurance Announces Director of Safeco Insurance Foundation and Community Relations
SEATTLE, Wash. (July 27, 2010) – Safeco® Insurance, a member of Liberty Mutual Group, today announced the naming of Paul Hollie as Director of the Safeco Insurance Foundation and Community Relations.
As Director of the Safeco Insurance Foundation and Community Relations, Hollie is responsible for overseeing the company’s philanthropic outreach in the Northwest and managing Safeco’s employee giving campaign.
“We are proud of the work the Foundation has done in our communities since 2006, and we are pleased that the tradition will continue with Paul Hollie, a nine-year Safeco veteran who helped set up the Foundation initially,” says Michael Hughes, Safeco Insurance President.
The Safeco Insurance Foundation was established in 2006 to support local communities. The Foundation’s work has focused on education and broad-based health and human services in Washington and Oregon, providing more than 450 grants since its inception.
Hollie joined Safeco in 2001, previously serving as company spokesman. He has more than 20 years of experience in communications, strategic planning and leadership through participation with several local professional and non-profit boards.
“Safeco, its leadership and its employees have a long-standing legacy of giving back here in the Northwest,” says Hollie. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help guide that energy and to build upon our commitment.”
Hollie received his Bachelor's degree in Communications from The State University of New York.
