SEATTLE, WA (Sept. 4, 2012) — The success of independent agents competing in the Safeco Insurance® Do Something Special contest in California will provide $17,000 in donations to seven local nonprofit organizations.
“Safeco has a tradition of celebrating agents who make a difference in their community through not only volunteer efforts but also an insurance business that provides local advice and service, so we are happy to recognize seven winning agents in the Do Something Special contest with grants to their favorite charities,” said Kimberly Kunody, Safeco’s regional marketing director for California.
The Do Something Special contest is a friendly competition between local independent insurance agents that’s designed to build both business and community. Contest winners and the nonprofits receiving donations from Safeco are as follows:
$5,000 Grant Winner
Agency: More Choices Insurance Agency; Charity: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Sacramento Valley Affiliate
$2,000 Grant Winners
