Established in 2006, the Safeco Insurance Foundation supports nonprofit organizations primarily within the states of Washington and Oregon. Our grants focus on education and broad-based health and human services.

We strive to give organizations the flexibility they need to do their best work. Safeco Insurance Foundation makes grants for operating and program support. Our review process is continuous.

Safeco supports nonprofit organizations with exceptional attributes such as:

  • Clearly defined goals and expectations
  • Solid financials
  • Strong board and staff
  • Thoughtful strategic plans and budgets
